A pair of beautiful and very old antique ironstone bird plates (the mark underneath tells us these are around 1875), that have developed a beautiful time-worn patina, the white plates being transformed into a pleasing cream color with lots of tea-staining - these plates are wonderful for those who appreciate a time-worn shabby chic finish to their antique items. Manufacturer is Jules Veillard Bordeaux. Please see dimensions and condition details listed below.
Condition: used antique shabby chic condition with the expected age-related wear (remember these plates date from around 1875 or so, so that would make them approx. 148 years!) such as lots of tea-staining (see photos) and crazing.
