An exciting find and truly fabulous French vintage/antique oil painting depicting the old bridges of Espalion, Aveyron in France. The painting is signed Henri Le Clerc. Stretched canvas on wooden frame; to the rear on the wooden stretcher in very faded pencil is the location - my google search bought up a current view of this scene and little has changed. There is no date, although I guesstimate this painting to have been created in the early to mid 20th century.

Condition: used shabby chic vintage/antique condition with the expected age-related wear such fraying and staining to the canvas edges and lots of old 'foxing' (little brown staining spots - see photos) - as photos are part of our descriptions, please view all the photos carefully for a more detailed look before deciding to make your purchase.
