An original French antique oil painting depicting a coastal village in the late 1800s. The painting has been rendered expertly using a subtle palette and has been signed by the artist - on the rear of the stretched canvas frame in pencil is the date, '20 avril 1893' - see photo 10. The frame is probably later in date, and has a worn, shabby chic finish which really suits this antique painting.
