A pair of small French vintage/antique decorative plates with a transfer pattern called 'Fruits'. These plates are a lovely time-worn white/cream with green leaf and red berry transfer pattern; around the circumference is an attractive decoration in relief. The maker's mark is Faïencerie de Castres who closed their factory in 1936, so these pieces are early 20th century. In summary, wonderful old plates from France which will make super display pieces. Condition: good used vintage/antique condition with age-related wear such as crazing, tea staining, and a couple of miniature nibbles on the outer edge of one plate's rim which are barely visible - in summary, lovely old plates from France.
