French vintage pottery jug also known as a gargoulette. The bottom half is terracotta while the upper half has a glazed yellow finish. I have heard these were originality used for various tasks including transporting oil or wine, although these days it makes a splendid piece of home decor. Underneath there is a '3' marking.

Condition: good used vintage condition with the expected age-related wear such as a slight hair line around the handle which we can't even feel with a finger nail (see photos) and which in no way weakens the structural rigidity of this beautiful old piece of pottery.
