A French antique ironstone sauce boat with a blue floral transferware pattern. This is a large and heavy piece possibly manufactured by Villeroy & Boch. By no means is this a perfect gravy boat, although a graceful piece of history it is. Please see dimensions and condition details listed below.
Condition: shabby chic used antique condition with the expected age-related wear such as small areas of lost of glaze on the handles exposing the ironstone underneath, and inside and out-of-sight there are fine scratches and discolored marks that show this piece was once very well used - these days it's more suitable for decor, a herb planter, and many other interesting uses.
