An original vintage oil painting depicting a village on the banks of a large river. It looks similar to the Rhine River Danube in Germany, and with the large hills/mountains in the background maybe the Black Forest, although it could be many places in Europe and perhaps even in France where we purchased this wonderful piece of original art.  

The painting is rendered in a painterly fashion on a nicely shaped board, and by the shadow-line around the outside of the painting it was once part of a furniture panel or something similar.  As you can see from my photos, it will look great on a mantelpiece or could also be hung on a wall or maybe even framed. 

Note: colours may vary according to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions on the day we photograph our artwork, although we try our best to make them as accurate as possible.

Condition: good used vintage condition with the expected age-related wear.
